The Texas DECA Social Media Team will assist with developing content that covers chapter/member experience and will help Texas DECA understand their online target market.

2024-2025 Texas DECA Social Media Team

The 24-25 Social Media Team will be announced in September.

APPLICATION PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants must show an understanding of the Texas DECA brand and online image as well as their capability to create and edit video content

  • Applicants are required to follow Texas DECA on social media platforms

  • Minimum required social accounts: Instagram

  • Social Media team will be required to use GroupMe for communication

  • Application must be completed by Wednesday, August 21, 2024

  • A recommendation must be submitted by applicants chapter advisor

  • 2 Completed videos will be submitted over the provided topics

  • 5 Video ideas that relate to chapter/member experience will be included in the application

SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM WILL RECEIVE:

  • Recognition on Texas DECA Social Media & Website

  • Social Media Team t-shirt

  • Social Media Team Ribbon at SCDC

  • Media Pass at SCDC

  • Recognition at SCDC

  • Letter of Recommendation

To receive SCDC perks, team members must complete at least 75% of content leading up to the conference.

Social Media Team members must be attending conferences to compete or as a voting delegate, they will not be added as non-competitors just to attend as a member or the social media team.
